The cave is now complete and we have been brewing for a couple of weeks. We are launching the first three beers at the George and Dragon, Swanscombe on 16th May 2013. The Cavemen will be on hand from about 6pm to talk beer related nonsense. The George and Dragon will also be presented with their Pub of the Year award by Gravesend and Darent Valley CAMRA on the night too
The Cave Nearly Complete
It seems like a while since our last post but the cellar is now taking shape. Delivery for the brewing vessels is scheduled for the 5th April and we hope to be up and brewing by the middle of April!
The Cave
Busy time at the moment. We have removed the cave dweller decoration from the cellar and are preparing it for a nice, clean brewing environment. Walls are being rendered in preparation for a spray applied hygienic wall treatment and the floors are being prepared for a resin treatment. We picked up the brew kit today from its previous owner and put it in storage until the cellar is ready. Its a long way from our previous brewery back in the Paleolithic Era when the Swanscombe Man was brewing with us (she was actually a woman and a great brewster).
The Brewery Kit
We are looking to have our brewery kit installed in the cave during January. All being well we hope to be ready for producing beer from the cave in Febraury. In the interval we will still be brewing with the guys from Kent Brewery so keep an eye out for our next beer!
